  14.     I wonder if I might trouble you with a problem I'm
  15. having.  I'm a total TeX newbie, having recently downloaded
  16. wb2c-6.1, and the installation went without a hitch -- EXCEPT:

  18.     I seem to have a partial or otherwise corrupt set of
  19. X11 files, enough to make the 'make' think I'm X11-equipped
  20. but not enough for the compilation to proceed.  I'm not
  21. planning to use TeX under X -- though I do use X for other
  22. things, and don't want to purge the files; how can I force the 
  23. various configurations to bypass any inclusion of X11 stuff?
